MELISSA R.V. ROUBIC
Melissa was born and raised in Portage County. After graduating from Kent State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Management Science, Melissa furthered her education at the University of Akron, where she graduated with her Juris Doctorate in 1995. Melissa began her legal career at Ernst & Young, where she was employed for over four years, before returning to Portage County to open her own law office. Melissa has built her firm and reputation with a focus on family law, personal injury law, probate law, civil litigation and criminal defense. Melissa is committed to providing her clients with the legal services the residents of Portage County have come to expect.
A lifelong resident of Ohio, Melissa continues to be deeply rooted in her commuity. Melissa is a member of St. Michael's Parish, where she serves as a lector and eucharistic minister. Melissa also serves as a Board Member for the Windham Exempted Village School District and for the Catholic Charities Serving Portage and Stark Counties. Melissa is also a board member for the Maplewood Career Center. Melissa is also a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Portage County and serves on the Community Improvement Corporation of Ravenna, Ohio (CIC).
In the legal community, Melissa is an active member and past President of the Portage County Bar Association. Melissa also serves as an Acting Judge in the Portage County Municipal Court for all three elected judges.
Melissa is married to David Roubic and together they have three children. The Roubic family also enjoys being a host family for high school foreign exchange students from Italy and Germany.
